My Weekend

Well, this weekend had it's ups and downs. Nikki and Danny and Curtis were all in town for the football game. It was alright at first, when it was just me and Nikki. Then Danny and Curtis came in. I don't know what it is about Danny, but no matter what he does he always seems to do something to annoy the hell out of me. This time, I was talking about how I had joined Pride. He told me that it was like joining a youth group and hoping not to be converted. So, of course I couldn't just let that be. I told him that I wasn't closed to the idea. I mean, at the moment I'm not attracted to girls, but if I ever found myself attracted to a woman, I wouldn't freak out about it or anything. Love is love. It's sure as hell hard enough to come by without having to limit yourself to genders. You should be attracted to a person, not their sex. Not that I have much room to talk, as I am completly and totally boy crazy. Oh well. Back on the subject of Danny. He then preceded to tell me to "not get him started on the subject of gays". And Curtis had the nerve to agree with him. Oooh, I hate DAMN INTOLERANT PEOPLE! I really do. I guess you could say I'm intolerant of intolerance. So anyway, we went to the football game, and I realized how much I don't fit in with my old friends anymore. I mean, I'd sorta seen that before, but now it was really rubbed in my face, you know. And it was sad, because I don't have all that many good friends to begin with. I spent the first half of the football game mostly being ignored, or at least it seemed that way to me. Maybe I'm just exagerating things. Well, anyway, about twenty minuites till the end of the game, I saw Jon, the guy from Pride who I said I'd try and find at the game, sitting on the other side of the band from me, so I went and stayed with them till the end. It was funness then. I actually might go to another football game.

Well, on Sunday I went home. We stoped and had lunch at the Chimes, as my aunt is always raving about it. That was a mistake, as it took forever. Because of that, we were late getting into town and missed all but the tail end of the Decadence Parade. Stevie and I decided that it was too hot to stick around outside, and then went to the French Market to get snowballs and then walked arougnd the Riverwalk shopping. That was fun. Even though I got dragged into so many preppy stores I thought I was going to go mad. Then my mom came and picked us up and we went to Angelo Brocatta's. Oh my God, is that good. I love their biscotti. We dropped Stevie off and visited the rest of the family. Fun! (That was scarcastic)

Today, my mom decided that we should redye my hair so that it was all one color, as it was really starting to fade out and was beginning to look greenish. So, it is now a really bright blue. It makes me happy. Came back to Lafayette, found out we have a third cat. Poor thing is about six months old and it's still the size of a small kitten. It has been a dog's chew toy, and part of its tail fell off. Its name was Bob. It's a girl. Kat renamed it Miki. It glares at me just like she does. Its scary.

Well, I guess that's all for now. Hope you had a great labour day holiday.
